(1) Preface

This is a low level driver for the Indivision ECS in conjunction with
the Picasso96 drivers. This driver use no speed up technique.
Just Copying the screen every 10 frames to Indivision buffer.

Requirements:
------------------
- Kickstart (I think Picasso needs) 3.0+
- Picasso96 Install Files
- 10MB FastRam (just guessing)
- Indivision ECS installed

(2) Install

Make a backup of your whole system! This driver can corrupt the memory
and this can lead in corrupt filesystems or devices.

         This is a ALPHA DRIVER !!!!

Download Picasso96.lha from Aminet and install it. Just choose a any
graphic card driver, for example the domino.
Then copy the enclosed files to the "correct" directorys.

(3) Informations

Screenresolution is FIX: 800/600 use the screenmode utility to change
the number of colors (up to 256) to be used. And enter (if necessary
the ScreenWidth/Height to 800/600 !!

- Dont use the FAKENATIVEMODE !! This corrupts memory !!

- SoftSpriteMode can be activated, but should be replaced by indivision
  with hardware sprites. (not implemented/working)

(4) Deactivating

HOLD BOTH MOUSE BUTTONS ON STARTUP, this is deactivating Picasso96.
If you press it to fast (on reboot) you enter the AMIGA OS Bootmanager.

(5) Uninstall
Just delete all the files installed and remove the picasso!!! driver
from the devs:monitors/  directory. Dont delete PAL/NTSC and so on !

(6) Possible upcoming

Based on the speed-limitation of the indivision ecs "bus" system, it
is only possible to transfer up to 3,5 MB/s. A resolution of 800*600
needs approx. 500kb/Frame => 25 Frames need about 12MB/s.

So it is necessary to implement a "mmu" or "difference" Buffer like
routine. (Like in the shapeshifter indivision port)
So it amount of memory to transfer could be reduced.

Additionaly a few changes in the indivision core can lead up in a
speed increase (0-100% just based on the data to be transfered).
This have been discussed in the past.

(7) Status

Project stopped no further work planed.
